Francis A. Garufi, Esq.
Francis “Frank” A. Garufi is the principal and managing member of the firm. He has nearly 25 years of litigation experience defending all aspects of both New York and New Jersey civil tort litigation, concentrating on construction work-site accident litigation, premises liability, negligent security, products liability, municipal liability, and property damage litigations. Mr. Garufi also has significant experience drafting insurance coverage opinions and litigating declaratory judgment actions. Mr. Garufi has extensive litigation and trial experience in both state and federal courts. Mr. Garufi has tried cases in several New York City and Upstate venues and regularly defends cases involving catastrophic injuries. Mr. Garufi is also regularly retained by excess and umbrella insurance carriers to monitor, analyze, consult and advise them with respect to multimillion-dollar cases. Mr. Garufi has successfully handled and resolved hundreds of high exposure cases for a myriad of both large and small insurance carriers and has a proven track record of achieving cost-effective and favorable dispositions. Mr. Garufi has had particular success in achieving very favorable case dispositions through mediation and pre-trial motion practice. Mr. Garufi is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. He is a graduate of St. John’s University and Brooklyn Law School.

Philip G. Pizzuto is special trial counsel to Garufi Law LLC. Mr. Pizzuto has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation, concentrating in labor and employment law, ADA compliance litigation, false arrest and malicious prosecution, municipal and contract law. He has extensive litigation and trial experience in both state and federal courts. Mr. Pizzuto has tried cases throughout all New York City venues, the Superior Courts of New Jersey, New York and New Jersey Federal Courts, attaining numerous favorable jury verdicts. In addition, Mr. Pizzuto has presented on litigating and trying cases to verdict and has been a guest lecturer at the New York City Law Department’s Trial Advocacy Program at Fordham University School of Law. Mr. Pizzuto is licensed to practice law before the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars, and is fluent in Italian. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Law.
